A great basket of crystal on antique brass
At this scale, the structure stands out clearly: a crown of patinated arches decked with drops, strands of beads that flare out as they descend, then a broad antique brass ring edged with candle arms. Beneath the ring, several tiers of pendants form a deep bowl. The chain matches the metal, and the cable is brown.
Fifteen E14 bulbs
Fifteen E14 lampholders are spread across the basket, with a maximum of 40 W per bulb. To limit energy consumption and heat, fit it with clear LED candle bulbs; with so many light sources, a warm white of 2700 K avoids the effect of an overlit room. IP20-rated chandelier, for dry indoor use only, Class I.
Installing a 23.6 kg chandelier
The weight calls for a properly rated fixing: a hook sealed into a concrete slab or anchored in a beam, fitted by a professional. The body measures 125 cm high and 92 cm wide, plus 150 cm of cable. Allow for a ceiling of at least 3 m so you can walk beneath it, or hang it above a large table.
