About this light

Recessed spotlight in white plaster, round and 18 cm wide: the Samba sinks into the ceiling and can be painted the same colour, leaving only a glowing recess visible. A solution for a smooth plasterboard ceiling in a living room or bedroom. Bulb to be supplied separately, 35 W maximum.

Description

White gypsum to blend into the ceiling

The body is moulded from gypsum, a mineral material that takes paint. In the photo, two mesh fins protrude on either side: they key into the plaster finish when the spotlight is built into the board. Once the joints are smoothed and painted, all that remains is a wide round bowl with the bulb set back at its centre.

Bulb and use

The lampholder takes a GU10 bulb with a maximum power of 35 W, which you buy separately. Set back in the plaster, it causes less glare than a spotlight with a trim ring. IP20: for dry rooms only; in a bathroom, only well away from water. Class II.

Dimensions and installation

This is the large round format of the range: 18 cm in diameter, 4.5 cm high, 0.45 kg. Installation requires plastering work, best done while the boards are being fitted or by a plasterer.
