About this light

White wall light with 2 adjustable spots: an elongated metal backplate carries two cylinders, each on its own arm, which you can point in two different directions. At 36.5 cm wide and 11.5 cm high, it lights a hallway, a worktop or both sides of a desk. Allow for two GU10 bulbs, which are not supplied with the light.

Description

Two white cylinders on a rectangular bar

The photo shows a horizontal mounting plate, finished in white lacquer like the two tubes. The arms holding the heads have a silver-coloured metal finish, the only contrast in the whole piece. The two spots are spread along the length of the bar, far enough apart for each to aim at its own area.

Light in two directions

Each head takes a GU10 bulb of 50 W at most. With LED, a 5 W bulb per lampholder is often enough for accent lighting; choose a warm white 2700 K in a living room, or 3000 K above a worktop. The IP20 rating restricts installation to rooms without moisture; in a bathroom, keep it above the mirror, well away from splashes. Class I: the earth wire must be connected.

Wall or ceiling installation

The light can also be fitted to a ceiling, where the two heads can aim at separate areas of a room. On a wall, it projects 13 cm and weighs only 0.61 kg. Centre the bar above a mirror or a console at least 60 cm wide so that the light covers its full width.
