About this light

This cylindrical ceiling spotlight is surface-mounted, fixed directly to the ceiling with no cut-out required. The 10.3 cm diameter metal cylinder plays on two contrasting colours, between the outside and the ring around the bulb. It takes a GU10 bulb, sold separately, and directs the light downwards, over an island, a piece of furniture or in a hallway.

Description

A two-tone metal cylinder

The Noma takes the form of a short tube, closed on top and open underneath. The bulb sits recessed behind a metal ring, which limits side glare. The contrast between the outside and the inside of the cylinder creates a crisp circle on the ceiling.

GU10 cap, bulb of your choice

The spotlight is designed for a 50 W GU10 bulb, not included. A GU10 LED uses far less energy for comparable lighting and gives off little heat in a closed cylinder; choose a 2700 K shade for a living room or bedroom. With its IP20 rating, this ceiling light is suitable for dry rooms only; in a bathroom, only out of reach of splashes, away from the shower.

Surface mounting

It hangs 12 cm below the ceiling, which does not get in the way under a standard ceiling height. It is fixed to the ceiling itself, a useful solution when recessed fitting is not possible (concrete slab, older ceiling). For an island or a table, line up two or three cylinders lengthways.
