About this light

This black IP44 cylinder surface-mounted spotlight fixes directly to the ceiling, with no cut-out or false ceiling needed. The matt aluminium body forms a clean tube 8 cm in diameter and 9.6 cm high, with a round opening on the underside. It lights a worktop, a hallway or a bathroom nook from above, using a GU10 bulb to be chosen separately.

Description

A matt black aluminium tube

Fausto takes the simplest form: a black cylinder with a matt finish, with no visible screw in the photo. The light comes out through a recessed round opening, closed by a glass that protects the bulb. The matt black absorbs reflections and stands out clearly against a white ceiling, as a graphic point above an island or a washbasin.

GU10 bulb and IP44 protection

The spotlight takes a GU10 bulb of 40 W maximum, not supplied. A GU10 LED uses far less power for a comparable output: choose 2700 K for a soft light, or 4000 K above a worktop. The IP44 rating protects it from splashes: it belongs on a bathroom ceiling, away from the shower, as well as under a sheltered porch.

Surface mounting, 9.6 cm below the ceiling

Mounted on the surface, it needs no recessing, which solves the problem of a concrete slab or a ceiling with no void. It drops 9.6 cm. In a hallway, allow roughly one spotlight every 1.20 m; above a worktop, line them up directly over the front edge.
