About this light

This black and gold surface-mounted ceiling spotlight takes the form of a small 15.2 cm black aluminium cylinder, finished with a gold ring that frames the LED. It casts a downward beam to highlight a worktop, a console table or a passageway, in 3000 K warm white. The LED source is integrated and supplied with the light.

Description

A black cylinder ringed in gold

The body is a black aluminium tube, with no visible screws in the photo. At its base, a gold ring surrounds a faceted reflector that hides the LED chip when you look at the ceiling from an angle. This Moldes Medium is more compact than the Moldes Big: 6 cm in diameter and 15.2 cm in height.

Downward beam in 3000 K

The integrated 7 W LED delivers 450 lm in a 3000 K warm white, an output designed for accent lighting rather than for lighting a whole room. Allow for several spotlights in a row for a hallway or a kitchen. Rated IP20, it is intended for dry rooms; in a bathroom, position it away from the shower and the bath.

Surface mounting on the ceiling

The spotlight mounts directly beneath the ceiling, with no recess cut-out: a solution for a concrete slab or a ceiling with no void. At 15.2 cm, it remains discreet under a standard ceiling height. For a worktop, place it 40 to 60 cm from the wall to avoid the shadow cast by the person cooking.
