About this light

This white LED cube ceiling spotlight is a 10 cm aluminium block with a black square opening, at the bottom of which the LED sits. With 18 W and 1410 lm, it is the brightest of the Alden cubes: it can light a small space on its own (WC, dressing room, landing) or boost the light over a worktop.

Description

A white cube and a black well

The housing is a 10 cm cube on every side, in white aluminium. On the underside, a black square reflector sinks into the body; the LED, behind a faceted lens, sits recessed, which limits glare when you look up.

1410 lm in warm white

The 18 W LED is integrated and supplied; it works on/off only, with no dimming. It delivers 1410 lm at 3000 K, a tone close to halogen that respects the colours of wood and fabrics. This output is enough for a main light point in a small room. IP20 rating: to be installed indoors in a dry area and, in a bathroom, on the mirror side rather than above the shower.

Dimensions and installation

Surface-mounted, the cube drops 10 cm below the ceiling, so it can be used under a low ceiling or a slab that cannot be cut for recessed fittings. For an island or a worktop, line up two or three cubes 60 cm apart.
