About this light

A black and white tube ceiling spotlight, this 25 cm Argon combines an aluminium body with a bevelled opening in two contrasting tones. The light interior reflects the light without tinting it, giving a crisp beam in 3000 K. Integrated 7 W LED included, for a hallway, a kitchen or above a side table.

Description

A graphic contrast

The body is black and the inside of the bevel is white: the angled cut forms a light ellipse beneath the ceiling. The tube is 6 cm in diameter and made of aluminium. This two-tone finish suits black joinery, a metal splashback or furniture with straight lines.

What it lights

With its integrated 7 W LED delivering 520 lm, it provides focused lighting in warm white. Dimming is not possible: the intensity stays the same each time it is switched on. Its IP20 rating limits it to dry rooms. It may be used in a bathroom provided it is kept well away from the bath and shower.

Installation and spacing

The spotlight is surface-mounted and extends 25 cm below the ceiling. In a kitchen, a row of three or four tubes above the worktop gives an even light; place them about 50 cm from the wall.
