Black steel cups on a split bar
A circular ceiling plate fixes to the ceiling and carries two cylindrical steel rods, one on each side: this is the principle of the split bar. Each rod holds two matt black mild steel spotlights, shaped like a flared cup. The white interior reflects the light forwards. According to the manufacturer's text, each head pivots both horizontally and vertically.
Four GU10 lampholders to fit out
Each GU10 lampholder accepts 50 W; the four bulbs are bought separately. Variable intensity is provided for: with GU10 LEDs marked as dimmable and a suitable dimmer, you can lower the light in the evening. Its IP20 rating makes it suitable for the living room, hallway, kitchen, office or bedroom. To showcase a picture, choose a narrow-beam LED in 2700 or 3000 K.
81 cm to position along the centre of the hallway
At 81 cm long, 9 cm wide and 19 cm high, and weighing 0.95 kg, the bar follows the line of a hallway or worktop; the stated projection reaches 18.5 cm. Position it parallel to the wall to be lit, at a short distance, so that the beams hit the frames without spoiling the view.
