Description

Six black spotlights on a stepped line

The photo shows a bar made up of several segments: each arm leaves the ceiling rose and continues with a second, offset rod, creating a stepped line rather than a straight one. Small vertical rods connect the bar to the ceiling at several points. The spotlights are cylinders 6 cm in diameter. Mild steel, stainless steel, acrylic and plastic make up the whole, in a uniform matt black.

2100 lm spread across six points

Each GU10 lampholder takes a 5 W LED supplied with the bar; together they produce 2100 lm. The light is dimmable, as the variable intensity feature has been confirmed: choose a dimmer suited to LEDs. Rated IP44, the bar withstands humidity and splashes; in a bathroom, keep it away from the shower.

Fitting a 1.9 kg bar

At 180 cm long, 13 cm wide and 19.5 cm high, it needs a clear ceiling along its whole span. It weighs 1.9 kg: secure the ceiling rose and each support point to a solid surface, and check that the ends do not butt against a wall or a beam.
