Expand 2-spotlight steel bar with exposed E27 lampholders, 50.8 cm

A steel tube and two bare lampholders

The Expand model is built around a round metal tube, held by two small fixing brackets. Beneath the bar, two short rods each carry a cylindrical lampholder in the same steel shade. There is no lampshade: the bulb stays visible, so it is best chosen for its look (amber globe, visible filament).

Two E27 bulbs required

Bulbs are not included. Each E27 lampholder is rated for 15 W; a 2700 K globe LED gives a soft light and an amber glass softens glare. The light fitting accepts a dimmer, provided both bulbs are also dimmable. IP20 rating: keep it for dry rooms only. Class II: double insulation, no earth connection.

Dimensions and installation of the 50.8 cm bar

The bar measures 50.8 cm long, 15.5 cm high and 4.3 cm deep, not counting the bulb that protrudes below the lampholder. At 0.45 kg, it can be fixed without any special reinforcement. Centre it above a worktop or desk so that each bulb lights one half of the useful area.
