About this light

White and black 3000 K LED spotlight from the Boniva range: a matt white body and a black ring framing the light source. The short, drum-shaped head is held beneath an 11 cm white base plate by a black connector. Integrated LED, 300 lm: accent lighting for a light-coloured wall, a hallway or a bookcase.

Description

White body, black details

The contrast comes down to two details: the black ring edging the opening of the spotlight and the black connecting piece between the head and the base plate. Everything else is white, from the 11 cm by 6 cm base plate to the cylindrical drum, 6 cm in diameter. Behind the opening, a faceted reflector spreads the light from the LED.

An LED included, 300 lm at 3000 K

No bulb to choose: the LED comes integrated into the spotlight. It delivers 300 lm for 5 W, in 3000 K warm white, a soft light on light-coloured walls. It cannot be dimmed. The spotlight is rated IP20 and is only suitable for rooms protected from moisture; in a bathroom it can only be used on the ceiling, away from the shower and the bath.

Positioning in a hallway

In a narrow passage, one spotlight of this type roughly every 1.50 m is enough to mark out the floor. The 11 cm base plate is fixed flat; before drilling, check that it will properly conceal the cable outlet. The spotlight drops 12 cm below the ceiling, which stays discreet above a head.
