About this light

Table lamp in blown glass and chrome, the large Duchessa stacks a balustrade and a sphere of clear glass on a domed base, beneath a wide cylindrical lampshade in pleated white organza. At 64 cm high, it suits a dining room sideboard, a bedroom chest of drawers or a living room console.

Description

Glass balustrade and organza

The domed base and the inner stem are in chrome-plated metal. They are dressed with pieces of clear glass, mouth-blown according to the retailer: a long tapered balustrade topped with a sphere. The low, wide cylindrical lampshade is in white organza, pleated vertically.

Transparency and soft light

The organza lets a soft light through and casts fine stripes when the lamp is lit. The glass of the base reflects the room without hiding the chrome stem. It takes one E27 bulb up to 60 W, to be purchased separately. A 2700 K LED suits this classic setting. IP20: dry indoor use only.

The larger of the two sizes

With a lampshade 36 cm in diameter and a weight of 3 kg, it needs a wide, stable piece of furniture. Place it at one end of a sideboard rather than in the centre, to balance a picture or a mirror.
