Amarilli black and silver table lamp with crystal drops, 43 cm silver lampshade

Black and silver patina, leaves and drops

The base is a steel candlestick: a round stepped foot, a slender stem punctuated with rings, then a crown of aged oak leaves. The hand-applied black and silver patina lets the bare metal show through on the raised details. Drops of clear glass hang beneath the leaves, around a cut-glass candle cup. The silver lampshade, lined with silver on the inside, has a tapered shape.

Soft, filtered accent lighting

The E27 lampholder takes a bulb of up to 60 W, not included. Dimming is not possible. The silver lining sends the light upwards and downwards, and the glass drops catch the reflections when the lamp is lit. For dry rooms only (IP20); plug it into an earthed socket, as the lamp is Class I.

Proportions and manufacture

At 72 cm high, with a lampshade 43 cm in diameter, it weighs 4.05 kg: allow for a piece of furniture deep enough so that the fabric does not overhang at the front. At this height, it lights a wide area from a console table or sideboard. The Amarilli range is made in the United Kingdom.
