Nettle Lux table lamp, 2 gold striped lampshades on crossed stems

Two cylinders on X-shaped stems

The two tubular mild steel stems rise from the same star-shaped base, lean in opposite directions and cross just above the foot. Each carries a small spiky sphere, then a tall cylindrical lampshade where gold leaf alternates with pale bands. A gilded spiked finial tops each cylinder. The difference in height between the two lampshades breaks the symmetry.

Two light points

Allow for two E27 bulbs of 60 W maximum each, not included. The light intensity is fixed. The two sources spread across the full width give a wider light than a single lamp, useful at the back of a living room. IP20 rating, so dry rooms only; Class I, earthed plug.

Dimensions

At 27.9 cm deep, it fits on most sideboards without overhanging. Its 5.1 kg weight and star-shaped base give it a solid stance despite the leaning stems. Centre it on the furniture and leave space on each side so that the two cylinders remain clearly visible.
