About this light

This mercury glass table lamp combines a jar-shaped base with a speckled silver sheen and a drum lampshade in fine-grain beige linen. At 75 cm high, it suits an entrance console, a chest of drawers or a large side table, where the fabric softens the light it gives off. It takes a single bulb with an E27 cap.

Description

Mercury glass jar and linen drum

The base has a rounded jar silhouette, shouldered at the top and narrowing towards the foot. The mercury glass, speckled like an old mirror, reflects the light of the room in silvery glints. It rests on a round polished metal base, echoed by the ring and finial that hold the lampshade. The shade is a straight cylinder in fine-grain linen, stretched over a rigid frame.

An E27 bulb beneath the linen

The lampholder accepts an E27 bulb of up to 60 W, not supplied with the lamp. A warm white (2700 K) E27 LED gives a soft light that passes through the linen without glare. IP20 rating: the lamp should stay in dry rooms such as the living room, bedroom or hallway. Class I: plug it into an earthed socket.

Space needed on a piece of furniture

At 75 cm high and 38 cm wide, it needs a surface slightly deeper than its lampshade so that it does not overhang into the walkway. Weighing 3.6 kg, it is stable, even on a narrow console.
