Glass assembled with copper foil
The square-based shade, a low pyramid, brings together pieces of cream, honey and burgundy Tiffany glass, cut into arcs that spiral around the top. According to Netlighting, they are assembled by hand using the copper foil method developed by Louis Comfort Tiffany.
A base of metal blades
Beneath the glass, bronze-finish metal blades curve into an oval cage around a central stem, then meet on a square base mounted on small feet. This open structure lightens the whole piece despite its width of 40.6 cm. The lamp weighs 4.5 kg.
Lighting and connection
Two E27 lampholders each accept up to 60 W; bulbs not included. The pale panels of the shade let through a golden light, enough for a relaxation corner. The brightness can be varied, provided you choose dimmable E27 LED bulbs. Its IP20 rating makes it suitable for dry rooms, and its Class I rating requires an earthed socket.
