Zinc baluster base and black fabric bell shade
The base is made of cast zinc with an antique nickel finish: a patinated grey, softer than chrome. A slender stem descends to a series of turned swells, then to a small round foot. The bell lampshade, with rounded sides, is made of black fabric with a visible grain; it contrasts sharply with the pale metal. A small metal finial crowns the top.
Light directed towards the furniture
A single E27 cap, suitable for a bulb of up to 60 W, not supplied with the lamp. With such a dark lampshade, little light passes through the fabric: it is concentrated on the surface below and towards the ceiling. A 2700 K warm white LED keeps the rendering soft. The intensity is fixed. Its IP20 rating makes it suitable for dry rooms: living room, hallway, bedroom.
Footprint and stability
Its width of 30.5 cm allows it to sit on a shallow piece of furniture. Its 3.64 kg weight anchors it well, even in a busy spot. Placed as a pair at either end of a sideboard, it frames a mirror or a picture. Class I: plug it into an earthed socket.
