About this light

This Painswick lamp base in whitewashed turned wood echoes the silhouette of a candlestick: a baluster column on a round, moulded foot. The whitewashed, bleached finish lets the grain of the wood show through. A small 23 cm model sold without a lampshade, it suits a bedside table, a shelf or a child's bedroom.

Description

Turned, whitewashed wood

The stem, swelling at the centre and marked with rings, is turned from a single piece of wood. The whitewash lightens the surface and brings out the grain. According to Netlighting, it is made in England. Its simplicity suits a country decor as well as a light, airy interior.

To be fitted out

E27 lampholder, 60 W maximum, bulb not included. The base is sold on its own: a small off-white linen lampshade of 20 to 25 cm is all it needs. Class I.

Dimensions

23 cm high, 12.7 cm base diameter. A large model is also available.
