A white backplate for the bedside
The body is a rectangular plate in white metal with rounded corners, 11.5 cm wide. At the top, a small cylindrical stem rises above the backplate to hold the lampshade; just below, a compact LED spot can be angled towards the page. Further down, a USB port. The Gea range is put together like a set of parts: you choose this base, then a white, beige, grey or black lampshade, sold separately. The white blends into a light wall.
A 3 W LED spot for reading
The spot is fitted with an integrated 3 W LED, supplied with the wall light, which gives 230 lumens in 3000 K warm white: enough to light a book without waking the person next to you. Class I: the wall light must be connected to the earth wire. Its IP20 rating makes it suitable for a bedroom, study or living room, not for a damp room.
A compact 19.5 cm format
Without the lampshade, the wall light measures 19.5 cm high, projects 12.5 cm and weighs 0.5 kg. Fix it at about 1.10 m from the floor, in line with the edge of the bedside table, so that the spot lights the page and not the neighbouring pillow.
