Black base and reading spot

This black version stands out more against a white wall or a light headboard. The metal plate combines an E27 lampholder pointing upwards, a cylindrical LED spot to angle towards the page and a USB socket for charging a phone. Together they form the base of a wall light you put together yourself: the Gea lampshade is ordered separately, in four colours.

What to plan for in terms of bulb

No bulb is supplied for the E27 lampholder. A filament LED left on show gives a workshop look; under a lampshade, choose a frosted 2700 K bulb. The spot is for reading, the lampholder for lighting the bedside corner. With an IP20 rating, it is limited to dry rooms. Class I connection, with earth wire.

Fitting on either side of the bed

At 19.5 cm high with an 8 cm projection, it weighs 0.5 kg and is easy to fix, including on a plasterboard partition with suitable wall plugs. Place one on each side of the bed, at shoulder height when sitting up, turning the spot outwards.
