A fluted brass spindle beneath a black drum

The base, in aged brass, takes the shape of a spindle swelling at the centre, running with vertical grooves that catch the light. It rests on a flat disc of the same metal. The black velvet drum lampshade hides a golden lining, which is revealed from below and when the lamp is lit.

An amber light upwards and downwards

The E27 lampholder is designed for a 40 W bulb, not included. The black velvet lets little light through at the sides: it escapes from the top and bottom of the drum, warmed by the gold lining. Choose a 2700 K LED to keep this amber glow. IP20 rating: for dry rooms only.

Dimensions and connection

At 40 cm wide, the lampshade needs a fairly deep console table or sideboard. The whole lamp weighs 1.285 kg. The switch is on the cable, and Class II (double insulation) means no earthed socket is required.
