Here the base keeps a low profile: a cylinder of clear glass, finished with a rounded top, reveals the nickel stem that carries the lampholder. The round base repeats the same satin finish. The taupe velvet of the lampshade, soft to the eye, is lit from within thanks to its silver lining.

For accent lighting in the evening

It takes a 60 W E27 bulb, to be purchased separately. Under this neutral-coloured drum, the light keeps a natural tone; a 2700 K LED will make it softer in a bedroom. Its IP20 rating makes it suitable for living spaces only, sheltered from damp.

Where to place it

The 38 cm width of the lampshade suits a chest of drawers, a hall console table or a large bedside table. Its weight of 3.5 kg, due to the glass and the metal base, makes it hard to knock over. An inline switch on the cable turns it on and off.
