Description

Black, gold and transparency

The black velvet drum stays dark on the outside and casts a golden light from its inner surface. Beneath it, the clear crystal base, a square column on a square block, is set off by two brass collars. The contrast between matt black and crystal makes for a very graphic lamp.

Light source

It takes an E27 bulb, 60 W stated, to be bought separately; a lower-wattage LED gives a comparable result. Switch on the cable, no dimming. Dry rooms only (IP20), and Class II for electrical safety.

Installation

The shade is 40 cm wide and the whole lamp weighs 3.5 kg, enough to leave it in place on a sideboard without worrying about an awkward knock. To flank a sofa or a bed, two identical lamps give symmetrical lighting.
