About this light

105 cm lantern garden bollard light, halfway between a low bollard and a floor lamp. A straight black aluminium post, set on a faceted base, carries a hexagonal clear glass lantern with its pointed roof. It lines a path, marks the corner of a terrace or frames an outdoor staircase, with light at hip height.

Description

Faceted lantern on a straight post

Here is the Alex lantern again, with its six clear glass panes, hemmed roof and finial, this time mounted on a slim, smooth post. The flared, faceted base gives the bollard a firm footing. By day, the black aluminium blends into the greenery; by night, only the lantern stands out.

An E27 bulb at mid-height

The E27 lampholder takes a bulb of up to 60 W, not included in the package. At this height, the lantern spreads light over the ground all around it: a low-power 2700 K LED is often enough for a path. The bollard also works with a dimmer, provided a dimmable LED is fitted. Its IP44 rating allows it to stay outdoors, uncovered, in the rain. Class I, with earth conductor.

Positioning along a path

The bollard measures 105 cm high by 22 cm wide and weighs 1.7 kg. Anchor it on a concrete pad. Space several bollards a few metres apart along a path, or place one at each corner of a terrace.
