Malaysian teak and marine-grade stainless steel
The cylindrical column is clad in teak, a wood sourced from Malaysia. It rests on a circular marine-grade stainless steel base plate, the same metal that forms the rings and bars around the diffuser. The top is closed by a slightly domed teak cap. Oil the wood every season so that it keeps its natural colour.
Light diffused all around
The cylindrical opal glass diffuser spreads light in every direction without revealing the bulb. The bulb, with an E27 cap and a maximum of 40 W, is not supplied; the bollard light can be used with a dimmer if the chosen bulb is dimmable. The IP55 rating protects the bollard light from rain and dust deposits: it can stay outdoors all year round, in the middle of the garden.
67 cm high and 10 cm wide
At knee height, the light falls on the ground of the path without shining in the eyes. At 10 cm wide and 3.78 kg, the bollard light needs a stable support: plan for a concrete block to screw the base plate to. Space several bollard lights a few metres apart along a path for even marking.
