A lantern on a fluted shaft

The stand flares towards the bottom and has vertical flutes, like a small column. Above it, a moulded ring holds the lantern: rounded clear glass sides and a curved roof decorated with foliage and topped with a finial. The dark green patina lets silvery highlights show through on the raised details of the aluminium.

Lighting for paths and pillars

It takes an E27 bulb of 60 W maximum, to be bought separately, and works with a dimmer if the bulb is dimmable. IP44 rating: it withstands rain, but not immersion, so avoid a hollow where water collects at the base. Choose a warm white 2700 K LED so that it does not dazzle at knee height.

Dimensions and fixing

The bollard light measures 41 cm high and 15.2 cm wide, and weighs 0.65 kg. This low weight calls for screw fixing into a masonry support or a slab, with a buried cable in a duct to power it. Along a path, space the bollard lights roughly 3 to 4 m apart. Class I: be sure to provide an earth connection.
