A 90 cm post topped with a glass cage
The whole structure is black cast aluminium: a square base plate, a long post with a square section, then the lantern. The lantern, barely wider than the post, measures no more than 10 cm per side and is clad in clear glass on all four sides, beneath a flat roof. The silhouette stays very vertical.
Light that carries further
The E27 lampholder accepts a bulb of up to 60 W, to be purchased separately. Positioned at 90 cm, the light source illuminates a wider strip of ground than a low bollard and also shows faces as you approach a door. A 2700 K filament LED remains pleasant to look at through the glass. IP44 rating: the bollard withstands rain in open ground, on a sound, well-drained base.
Anchoring and positioning
A post this long needs a solid foundation: fix the base plate to a concrete pad or slab rather than into loose soil. Run the buried cable in a duct up to the foot before installation, with an earth conductor: the bollard is Class I. For a path, allow roughly one bollard every 4 to 5 m, staggered if the path is wide.
