Black aluminium, glazed cage and scrolled arm
Die-cast in black aluminium, the lantern is hung from the top of its cap on a horizontal arm. A curved scroll braces the arm against the wall plate. The square cage holds four panes of clear glass; the roof finial points upwards and a turned base cap closes the bottom. Anti-corrosion guarantee stated by the manufacturer: 10 years.
Light and IP44 protection
Hanging, the light source sits lower than on an upward-facing version, closer to the threshold and the steps. E27 lampholder, 60 W maximum; no bulb is included in the box, so choose for example a 2700 K warm white LED. It accepts a dimmer, provided you choose a bulb that is itself dimmable. The IP44 rating suits a façade battered by showers as well as a sheltered spot. Class I appliance, to be connected to earth.
Dimensions and height
It measures 20.5 cm in width and projects 29.7 cm from the wall, with a weight of 2.61 kg. As the lantern hangs beneath the arm, fit the wall plate fairly high, at around 2 m from the ground, so that the bottom of the cage stays above passers-by's heads.
