A Scandinavian-inspired stainless steel lantern
The body is made of stainless steel left in its silver colour. A round backplate is fixed to the wall; a straight arm connects it to the base of the lantern, which rises above it. The clear glass forms a cylinder surrounded by fine vertical rods, and the roof consists of a flared cap followed by two narrower rings.
Lighting a doorstep, even in the rain
The stacked rings hide the bulb when seen from the side and direct much of the light towards the ground. The IP44 rating protects the fitting from rain and splashes: it can be mounted on an exposed façade as well as under a porch. E27 lampholder, 60 W maximum, bulb to be purchased separately. For a soft effect through the glass, choose a dimmable 2700 K filament LED: the wall light is compatible with a dimmer.
Projection, weight and mounting height
Allow 21.8 cm in width and 26 cm of projection: in a narrow passage, check that the lantern does not get in the way of a door opening. The 1.8 kg can be supported by wall plugs suited to masonry. Mount it about 1.70 to 1.80 m above the ground. Class I fitting, to be connected to earth.
