Glenbeigh outdoor floor lamp with opal globe on a 181 cm pole

A miniature street lamp silhouette

The smooth black pole rises from a hexagonal base and carries an opal polycarbonate ball at the top, encircled by a black ring. Polymer and polycarbonate were chosen for their resistance to corrosion and impact.

Light that carries further

Positioned higher than a person, the globe spreads the light of an E27 bulb, 60 W maximum, over a wider circle than a low model. The bulb must be bought separately; a 3000 K LED gives a soft white without leaning towards yellow. The floor lamp also works with a dimmer if the chosen bulb is dimmable. Its IP44 rating means it can safely withstand showers. Class II: double insulation.

Anchoring and wiring

With 4.05 kg spread over its full height, it must be firmly anchored: bolt the base onto a concrete block. Bring the cable in from below, inside a conduit. Keep it away from low branches, which would cast shadows over the path.
