Scroll bracket and hanging lantern
The straight arm, decorated with a scroll, extends from a moulded backplate and holds the lantern by the top of its roof. The square body flares towards the top; its clear panes are made of pieces of glass assembled by hand with lead, with a central diamond. A black finial finishes the underside. The whole piece is cast in aluminium, and the manufacturer states a guarantee against corrosion of the finish.
E27 lampholder and rain on the façade
It takes one E27 bulb, 60 W maximum, not included; with a dimmable LED bulb, a dimmer can lower the brightness. Facing downwards, the lantern lights the doorstep and steps first. Its IP44 rating protects it against splashing water from any direction: an exposed wall suits it as well as a porch. Class I: the earth must be connected.
25.5 cm projection
45 cm high, 18.4 cm wide, 1.67 kg. Only slightly less deep than the upward-facing version, it projects 25.5 cm. As the lantern hangs below the bracket, fit the backplate high enough, at around 1.90 m, so that the bottom stays above passers-by's heads.
