Ashland Bay bathroom ceiling light in brass with bubbled glass, 30.5 cm

A bubbled glass drum banded with brass

The body is a cylinder of clear glass with small bubbles trapped in it, giving it a grainy texture and slightly blurring the view of the bulbs. A round steel backplate in a natural brass finish tops it, a ring of the same metal closes it at the bottom, and vertical straps join the two.

Two E27 bulbs to be supplied

Two E27 lampholders each take a bulb of up to 60 W, not included. The bubbled glass spreads the light unevenly, with small spots of light on the walls: ambient lighting rather than task lighting, best complemented by wall lights at the mirror. Rated IP44, it withstands splashes and steam: it is a bathroom ceiling light, to be placed in the centre of the room rather than directly above the shower.

Ceiling mounted, 15.4 cm high

The ceiling light measures 30.5 cm in diameter and drops 15.4 cm below the ceiling, so it can be used under a standard ceiling height. It weighs 2.85 kg: fix it to a solid ceiling or use fixings designed for plasterboard. The same model is also available in polished chrome.
