Choosing a wall light for the bedroom

A wall light complements the main lighting: it adds rhythm to the walls, lights a passage or creates soft indirect light. In the bedroom, light should stay soft and calming, with reading light near the bed.

Mounting height and projection

Wall lights are usually fixed 1.60 to 1.80 m above the floor, or lower beside a bed. In a passage, check how far the light projects; an adjustable head lets you direct light up, down or onto a painting.

Calming light

Choose warm white (around 2,700 K) and diffusers that prevent glare when you are lying down.
