Choosing spotlights for the hallway and entrance

Spotlights direct light exactly where it is needed: a worktop, a painting, a passage or a reading corner. In a hallway or entrance, light should guide the way without glare, using low-profile fittings.

Recessed, track or surface-mounted

Recessed spotlights give a clean ceiling, while surface-mounted or track models need no false ceiling and are easy to angle. Space them evenly and check the bulb base, often GU10.

Avoid dark spots

Spread several light points along the length and make sure there is enough light near the mirror and the front door.
