The turned arm that changes everything
Compared with the standard Payne model, the tube support here is a small chromed steel baluster: a flared base, a slender neck, a wide ring and then the foot of the glass. The opal tube remains straight and is closed by a chrome cap. The square backplate with moulded edges completes the whole.
White light from an included G9
The wall light is supplied with a G9 3 W LED, the maximum allowed by the lampholder, and works with a dimmer when fitted with a dimmable G9. The frosted glass conceals it and spreads the light along the full height of the tube, without glare in the mirror. Fitted as a pair on either side of the mirror, it lights the face evenly from the front. The IP44 rating allows this position in the bathroom, away from the shower and bath. Class I, must be earthed.
Dimensions of 36.2 cm by 12.7 cm
Height 36.2 cm, width 12.7 cm and projection 12.1 cm, weighing 1.8 kg: the wall light stays discreet on the wall. Mount the backplate so that the tube is centred at eye level; on a standard bathroom mirror, this places the backplate at about 1.50 m from the floor.
