Stainless steel column
The Sandbanks is a satin-finish stainless steel tube, ending in a circular base at the bottom and an open-worked head at the top: horizontal louvres surround the opal diffuser and reduce glare. The manufacturer uses 316 stainless steel, the marine grade used for boat fittings. Like any exposed stainless steel, it can develop brown surface stains if it is never cleaned: plan to clean it from time to time.
Marker lighting
The E27 lampholder takes a 40 W bulb, not included. Light emerges all around the head, filtered by the opal, and illuminates the ground at the foot of the bollard and the edges of the path. It can also be used with a dimmer. The IP44 rating protects it from rain: it can stay outdoors all year round.
Height, weight and fixing
Standing 60 cm high and 10.2 cm wide, it weighs 2.4 kg. The base is fixed to the ground: provide a concrete slab or pad that is perfectly level. Space several bollards 3 to 5 m apart along a path to create pools of light that echo one another. Class I: the power cable must include an earth conductor.
