The Admirals Cove design on a larger scale
At this scale, the details can be read from a distance: the scroll of the arm, the row of beads edging the cap and the base of the cage, and the X-shaped bars forming diamonds across the glass. The glass is bubbled, slightly blurring the view of the bulb and bringing the light to life. A moulded finial closes the bottom of the lantern, whose structure is made of composite.
An E27 bulb and an IP44 rating
The E27 lampholder accepts a maximum of 60 W; no bulb is supplied. It can be connected to a dimmer, with a dimmable bulb. Choose a LED with a visible filament, which can be glimpsed through the glass like a flame. Rated IP44, the lantern withstands rain: an exposed façade, a covered entrance or a terrace wall all suit it. Class I appliance, to be earthed.
Weight and installation of a large format
Allow for a height of 59.5 cm, a width of 26 cm and a projection of 33.1 cm, for 3.53 kg. Fixing to a solid wall is preferable to lightweight cladding. On a tall façade, mount it above eye level, near the top of the door frame, to light the threshold without causing glare.
