Victorian-inspired street lamp in black aluminium

The Alex floor lamp borrows its lines from Victorian street lighting: a moulded, faceted base, a straight post with decorative rings, then a lantern with six panes of clear glass, topped with a roof and a finial. The whole piece is made of black aluminium.

A single lantern, one E27 bulb

The lantern takes one E27 bulb of up to 60 W, not included. The clear panes let the lamp show through: a 2700 K filament LED gives a golden glow reminiscent of a gas lamp. Rated IP44, the floor lamp can stay outdoors in the rain without extra protection. Class I: the power supply must include an earth, generally via a cable buried in a duct.

183 cm to mark the way in

At this height, the lantern sits roughly at head height and lights the path around the post. The floor lamp weighs 3.5 kg and is 23 cm wide: fix the base to a slab or a concrete block so that it stands firm in the wind. Place it at the start of the path, near a gate or at the end of a terrace.
