Chance Harbor outdoor wall light, lantern in weathered zinc, 45.7 cm

Ribbed glass, open cage and tiered cap

The aluminium structure has a weathered zinc finish, a dark grey with slight variations in tone, reminiscent of metal exposed to sea spray. The cylindrical ribbed glass diffuser is held by metal uprights and rings; the multi-tiered roof ends in a small finial, and the curved arm extends from a round backplate.

Lighting an entrance exposed to rain

A single E27 lampholder, rated for 60 W maximum; the bulb is not part of the delivery. On a dimmer, choose a dimmable bulb to lower the light. With an IP44 rating, it withstands showers and splashes: an exposed facade or a canopy are both suitable. Class I appliance, to be connected to the earth wire.

Mounting on either side of the door

The lantern projects 27 cm from the wall and weighs 2.77 kg: on masonry, wall plugs suited to the surface are sufficient. For a standard front door, this size works well as a pair, one lantern on each side, with the top of the light roughly level with the top of the door.
