Swan neck and tulip glass

The textured black aluminium arm springs from a moulded backplate and curls round before carrying the lantern. The lantern consists of a cap with a scalloped edge, a domed tulip-shaped glass dotted with bubbles and a base ending in a decorative point. The black, grainy finish recalls cast iron.

An E27 bulb hanging below

An E27 lampholder takes a bulb of up to 60 W, not included. The wall light can be controlled with a dimmer, using a dimmable bulb. A clear filament bulb, pear- or flame-shaped, keeps the look of a lantern. Thanks to its IP44 rating, the wall light withstands rain and water splashes on an exposed façade.

A large size that needs space

At 28 cm wide and projecting 34 cm, it stands out clearly from the wall: check that it will not hinder the opening of a shutter or a door. Mount it fairly high, with the top of the backplate at around 2 m, so that the lantern stays above head height. Its 4.32 kg acts as a cantilevered load: fix the backplate into a solid wall. Class I: the circuit must be earthed.
