The frosted glass diffuser, thick and with softened corners, takes up almost the whole front. Its white tone stands out against the black powder-coated galvanised steel front plate, fixed to a die-cast aluminium backplate; two black bands run across the glass and are fixed at the side with a knob. When lit, the wall light becomes an even, glowing square.

Hidden E27 bulb, IP54 protection

The Bern takes an E27 bulb of 60 W, which is not supplied. The frosted glass hides its shape: a standard warm white LED is enough and gives off little heat; choose a dimmable one if you want to use a dimmer. With IP54, splashing water and dust are no problem, even on a wall without a roof overhang. Class I: the earth wire must be connected.

Compact size for an entrance or a large window

24.5 cm per side, 12 cm projection, 3.32 kg. This weight is modest but requires wall plugs suited to your wall. Frame a French window with two lights fitted slightly above eye level to light the terrace without blocking the view.
