Karlstad black outdoor pendant light with flat shade, clear glass, IP55

Black steel and glass globe

The body is made of black-finish steel, with a very open, slightly conical shade that directs the light down towards the ground. Beneath it, a clear glass globe, cylindrical and rounded at the base, protects the bulb while leaving it visible. A small canopy connects the shade to the chain with elongated links.

IP55 protection for exposed outdoor use

The IP55 rating covers water jets and dust: the Karlstad can stay out in the rain, hung from a shallow eave or from the ceiling of an open shelter. It takes an E27 bulb of up to 75 W, sold separately. As the bulb remains visible, a clear filament LED gives the most attractive result. Double-insulated Class II, with no earth wire.

Height and weight

Including the chain, the pendant light hangs down to 102 cm. Its weight of 1.64 kg is modest, but the fixing must be screwed into solid material. Above a workshop door, centre it on the opening to light the threshold.
