Vintage iron band sphere

Curved metal strips cross to form an openwork ball, like an armillary sphere. The vintage iron finish, a shaded rusty brown, gives a weathered look. At the centre, a clear bubbled glass cylinder protects the lampholder. The structure combines aluminium and steel; a rod ending in a link connects it to the ceiling rose.

IP44 protection for sheltered outdoor use

The IP44 rating protects the light from rain and water splashes: it can be installed under a canopy, a porch or a roof overhang. The E27 lampholder takes a maximum of 40 W; bulb to be purchased separately. It is compatible with a dimmer if you choose a dimmable LED.

Dimensions and installation

The sphere alone is 27.5 cm high; the total height, including the rod, is adjustable from 43.3 to 119.3 cm. At 1.73 kg, it is easy to fix under a porch ceiling. Leave at least 2.10 m below the light above a walkway. Class I: earthed outdoor circuit.
