Black aluminium and Pyrex glass
According to the model's documentation, the body is made of painted cast aluminium and the light comes through a clear Pyrex glass cover. The photo shows a ribbed cylinder at the back, a sloping hood above the glass and a ball joint between the head and the base. In black, the Terra almost disappears among foliage and mulch.
A beam you can aim
The GU10 lampholder, supplied empty, takes 28 W at most. As the body can be tilted, you can light a trunk vertically, graze a stone wall, or sweep across a border. For a soft effect on plants, choose a warm white GU10 LED. With its IP65 rating, the spotlight withstands driving rain, dust and jets from a garden hose. An earth connection is required, as this Terra is Class I.
Installing it in the ground
At 29.5 cm high and 8 cm wide, with a 15 cm projection and weighing 0.52 kg, it is simply pushed into the ground on its spike. For a hedge, line up several Terra spotlights at regular intervals; for a single tree, one or two spotlights placed a few paces from the trunk are enough. Run the cable through buried conduit.
