Choosing spotlights for the living room
Spotlights direct light exactly where it is needed: a worktop, a painting, a passage or a reading corner. In the living room, lighting should switch easily from bright light for guests to a softer mood.
Recessed, track or surface-mounted
Recessed spotlights give a clean ceiling, while surface-mounted or track models need no false ceiling and are easy to angle. Space them evenly and check the bulb base, often GU10.
Create several moods
Pair ceiling light with lower sources and choose warm white (2,700 to 3,000 K) with a dimmer to adjust the atmosphere.
