Polished nickel: between chrome and silver
Polished nickel is recognised by its reflection, a little softer and more yellow than chrome, close to silverware. On this Blake2, it covers a solid brass body: moulded round wall plate, U-shaped arm and glass retaining ring. The smooth, clear tulip shade flares out at the top and lets you see the bulb and the metal through it.
Bright light by the basin, IP44 protection
The G9 cap takes the LED lamp supplied: 3 W, its maximum, for 300 lumens at 3000 K. Dimmer compatible. With this clear glass the light is not softened: it suits a mirror, less so mood lighting. Thanks to its IP44 rating, the wall light withstands water splashes and can be installed in the bathroom, away from the shower and bath. Class I appliance: the circuit must include an earth.
Dimensions and positioning
The whole measures 34 cm high and 12 cm wide, projects 21.5 cm and weighs 1.58 kg. Allow for the cable outlet roughly in the centre of the backplate, as the arm first drops below it before rising again. Fitted as a pair, the wall light frames a mirror 60 to 80 cm wide.
