Etched opal glass and polished chrome
The photo shows a faceted wall plate, an arm and a cup in glossy chrome-plated steel, and a frosted opal glass diffuser with a rounded profile, which hides the light source completely. The polished chrome reflects the light and matches taps in the same finish. The die-cast metal plate explains the weight of 1.65 kg for such a small light fitting.
A G9 lampholder beneath the opal glass
The light source is not integrated: a G9 lampholder takes a bulb of 3.5 W maximum. A G9 LED capsule in 2700 K or 3000 K is enough for accent light by the mirror, but not to light the whole room. Rated IP44, the wall light withstands splashes from a washbasin; keep it out of the shower and the bath. Powered as Class I, so a earth conductor must be provided.
Compact size, ideal as a pair
The body measures 19.4 cm high by 14.6 cm wide and projects 14.4 cm from the wall. The most common choice is to fit two, one on each side of the mirror at eye level, which avoids shadows on the face. It can also be placed on its own above a small vanity mirror.
