Chelsea large copper pillar lantern, 88 cm

Large size, same details

The polycarbonate panels are taller and the roof wider than on the medium-sized pillar lantern, but you still find the cut-out roof edges, the dome and the copper finial. Netlighting states that the copper is hand-worked and develops a patina outdoors, while the base is made of black powder-coated aluminium.

Outdoor light, IP44

One E27 bulb of up to 60 W, not supplied; choose a dimmable bulb if you want to adjust the light with a dimmer. For a lantern of this size, a globe bulb or a large filament bulb fills the lantern better. Rain will not damage it, even on an exposed pillar. The light fitting is double insulated (Class II).

Base and weight: 5.67 kg

Allow for a pillar top at least as wide as the base, and a fixing into the masonry. For a wide entrance, a pair of 88 cm lanterns on the two gate pillars clearly marks the entrance after dark.
