Lofoten Garden Bollard Light, Black Square Lantern, 105 cm

Black post and safety glass lantern

The head echoes the Lofoten lantern: a black frame with slim profiles, four clear safety glass panels and a visible lampholder in the centre. It tops a narrow post that ends in a square base plate on the ground. The steel is electro-galvanised and then powder-coated black, two treatments against rust.

IP44 path lighting

An E27 bulb of up to 60 W, not supplied, fits inside the lantern; choose a warm white LED for a soft effect through the glass. The bollard light can be used with a dimmer if the bulb itself is dimmable. The IP44 rating protects against splashes and rain. At 105 cm above the ground, the light illuminates the path around the bollard without dazzling passers-by. Class II.

Installation

The lantern is 19 cm wide and the whole unit weighs 8.3 kg. The base plate is fixed onto a concrete foundation or a slab; make sure the buried cable supply is run in a duct before pouring. Along a path, space the bollard lights four to six metres apart, staggered if the path is wide.
